How it works
Three steps, then it works on its own:
- Install it and sign in with your Google account — no new password, no card.
- Enter a recovery email: that's where the code that gives your files back on a new computer goes.
- Pick your folders. The first backup runs and the next ones send only the differences.
Your files leave protected
Every file is encrypted on your computer, with AES-256-GCM, before it leaves. What travels and what's stored is unreadable without the key. Your files are not analyzed, indexed, shared or used to train anything.
Backup is not sync
Sync tools copy everything that happens — including the file you deleted by accident or that a virus corrupted. Backup keeps versions so you can go back. It's the difference between having a copy and being able to recover.

- Yes. Windows 10 and 11, from the Microsoft Store or an installer, and macOS 11 or newer, on Intel and Apple Silicon. Not Linux yet.
- Do I need to create a password?
- No. You sign in with the Google account you already have. On a new computer, sign in with the same account and your backups come back.
- How often does it back up?
